Divided Senate confirms Trump loyalist Ratcliffe as U.S. top spy

The U.S. Senate on Thursday confirmed Representative John Ratcliffe, a staunch political ally of President Donald Trump, as director of national intelligence, but by a far slimmer margin than his predecessors as the top U.S. spy.
