A man was arrested Sunday in connection with an April 3 motorcycle crash that killed two people near Gunlock in Washington County.
The 47-year-old was booked into Purgatory Correctional Facility on suspicion of vehicular homicide, DUI, and driving with a revoked or suspended license, among other allegations.
According to arresting documents, he has had six driving convictions and at least two DUI convictions in the past 10 years. He is restricted to driving a vehicle with an interlock system — or in-car Breathalyzer — which police say his car did not have.
Authorities say the man was driving northbound on Old Dixie Highway 91 around 4 p.m. on April 3 when his Honda Accord collided head-on with a southbound motorcycle carrying a man and a woman. Those two people died at the scene, and their names have not been released.
The driver of the car was taken by Life Flight to St. George Regional Hospital. He was arrested shortly after his release.
