Two new wildfires have burned over 200 acres and caused evacuations in Millard County, fire officials said Friday.
The Dry Creek Fire is located east of Oak City and evacuations are underway in Oak City Canyon. The blaze ignited due to human causes and has burned over 100 acres.
The Halfway Hill Fire also ignited today in Millard County southeast of Fillmore, and has burned over 100 acres so far, according to Utah Fire Info. The Millard County Sheriff’s Office ordered evacuations for the Virginia Hills subdivision southeast of Fillmore due to its rapid growth.
