This August, La Caille Estate to host Utah’s newest wine and dine celebration— the Salt City Wine & Dine Event

Salt City Social and The Salt Lake Tribune presents the Salt City Wine & Dine event on Aug. 27 at the beautiful and sprawling, 20-acre La Caille Estate nestled at the mouth of majestic Little Cottonwood Canyon. Located only about 20 minutes outside of downtown Salt Lake City, La Caille first opened its restaurant doors back in 1975, and nearly 50 years later it has held on tight to its French-countryside charm, making it an ideal venue for the Salt City Wine & Dine event—one wine enthusiasts won’t want to miss!

The first annual Salt City Wine & Dine event is presented by The Salt Lake Tribune and LaCaille, and proudly sponsored by Shades Brewing, Proper Brewing Co., Dented Brick Distillery®, VIDA TEQUILA, and Pirate O’s Gourmet Market—thanks to their support, this incredible wine and dine event is made possible!

The event will feature live entertainment, a VIP experience, and over 35 food and drink vendors known by Utahns as some of the best wineries, distilleries and restaurants in the state, including Dented Brick Distillery, VIDA TEQUILA, I/G Winery, La Caille, Shades Brewing, Proper Brewing Co., Squatters Craft Beers, Wasatch® Brewery, Twisted Cedar Wines, The Nugget Steakhouse, Sicilia Mia, YOKO Ramen SLC, Yoko Taco, The Garage Grill Restaurant, Pat’s Barbeque, Toscano Restaurant, Beehive Cheese, Ritual Chocolate, Rico Brand Products, and The Local Greek, among other local favorites.

Reality star Lisa Barlow to feature her own VIDA TEQUILA

Reality TV star, Lisa Barlow from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City will be at the event showcasing her top-shelf tequila brand, VIDA TEQUILA. Lisa’s entire line of award-winning, ultra-premium tequilas pair modern and traditional methods to create a timeless spirit, which is crafted in Arandas, Mexico, from 100% pure Tequilana Weber Blue Agave.

Salt Lake City-based Dented Brick Distillery made Utah famous for its historical roots involving bullets and Brigham Young will have a designated brick bar at the event where it will be serving some of its signature cocktails throughout the evening, and showcasing the distillery’s highest-rated small-batch grain-to-glass spirits. Additionally, Dented Brick is excited to be serving guests a whisky-based smoked cocktail multi-sensory experience, a uniquely layered drink with alluring notes and aromas.

An out-of-this world entertainment line-up

Come and awaken your senses with the delicious food and drinks, but stay for the extraordinary entertainment line-up including a DJ, a singer, a magician, and a saxophonist to name a few. Guests will be entertained by the likes of Chris Clouse, a DJ, singer, song writer, and live performer whose many talents include playing the violin and guitar.

Chris has been the supporting act for Johnny Cash, DJ AM, Snoop Dogg, Kaskade, Train, and many others. He’s written and recorded numerous albums, and honed his skills for two years at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Chris has grown so popular, he is now booked year-round nationally and internationally.

Based out of Arizona, Blaine Long of the Blaine Long Trio may look familiar to you, especially if you’re a fan of NBC’s The Voice and saw him on Season 11. Since the young age of 16, Blaine has been playing his original music on stage and in bars, and he’s opened for Clint Black, Jonny Lang, Beth Hart, and Edwin McCain, among others.

Rodney Reyes is a magician and mentalist who performs throughout the country. He is known in the magic world as being a highly-creative, awe-inspiring performing artist. Rodney launched his career in Las Vegas as he collaborated with some of the biggest event producers to amaze audiences and celebrities alike. Today, his client-base has expanded to some of the largest corporations in America who book him for corporate events.

Kenny Fong is a local saxophonist raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kenny’s musical journey started at the young age of six, when he begged (and convinced) his parents to enroll him in piano lessons. Beginning in November 2017, Kenny spent two years aboard cruise ships performing all over the world as a show band woodwind musician. Today, he plays regularly with The Flamingos jazz band at Lake Effect and solo at London Belle.

To add on extra layers of enthralling entertainment, the evening includes a live painter who will be auctioning off her painting at the event, and a local tarot card reader will be there to intrigue each guest who dares to receive a reading about their past, present and future.
